Thank you for registering for the 2021 Freedom Network USA Human Trafficking Conference! We're looking forward to four days of great content and exciting opportunities to connect with others in the field. Here's some important information on attending our virtual event.

Technology

This year's conference will be hosted via the Socio event platform. This exciting software will provide everything you need to get the most out of this event. You can access sessions, customize your schedule, learn more about speakers, connect with colleagues, and take advantage of special events all in one place. Follow this link to create your profileIn order to protect access to the event, you MUST use the email that was entered during registration. You will not be able to access the sessions outside of the platform, so registration is required. Make sure to create your profile early and test out the platform. Socio provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your profile and an overview of all features. If you have any trouble with creating your profile, please contact Amanda Norwood at amanda@freedomnetworkusa.org.

Additionally, we will be holding a demo on Socio on Monday, March 22nd at 11:45am EST, right before the start of the conference. Be sure to attend so you can learn to take advantage of all Socio has to offer.

Most sessions will be streamed through Zoom. You can test out your Zoom settings ahead of time and make sure your connection is working by going to https://zoom.us/test. We will also be using a new software called Wonder for a few sessions, including networking. This operates best in the Google Chrome browser, which you can download at https://www.google.com/chrome/.

Continuing Education

This event has been approved for 11 credit hours through the National Association for Social Workers. Social workers will receive credit at no additional charge if they complete the necessary paperwork. The following states do not accept National CE Approval Programs and require individual program/provider application processes: Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, West Virginia. If you are in one of these states, please check with your state chapter for the application process.

We plan to apply for Continuing Legal Education credit from the Wisconsin and Texas Bar Associations. More information will be available for attorneys after approval.

In order to receive credit, you will need to collect the continuing education codes provided at the beginning and end of each eligible conference session on this form and send it to conference@freedomnetworkusa.org. If you have any questions about continuing education credits, please contact Melinda Smith at melinda@freedomnetworkusa.org.

Special Event on the Human Trafficking Leadership Academy

The National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center (NHTTAC) and the Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) will host a special event on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm EST. Join project managers to learn more about their innovative approach to survivor leadership development. Learn more about the project here.
